The Minister of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) in the Republic of Namibia, Hon Dr Peya Mushelenga, visited the ELCIN leadership at Oniipa on 25 August 2021. He was on his assignment to all 14 regions country to the different stakeholder to spread the awareness campaign “kick-out COVID-19 in Namibia”, which was launched on the 05 August 2021, in Windhoek by the right honourable Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa Amadhila.
Dr Mushelenga thanks Bishop Dr S V V Nambala, King of Ondonga Mr Fillemon Nangolo Shuumbwa, Regional leaders for showing a good example to vaccinated. He invited the religious leaders down to the Parishes to follow the good example, so that the parishioners may follow them. That is only the way we kick out COVID-19 in ELCIN, then in Namibia.
Dr Mushelenga who is the first Cabinet Minister vaccinated said, it is safe to vaccinate and it help to prevent of further COVID-19, related illness and deaths. Vaccinated are in all corners of the Country.
He was accompanied by Health Director in Oshikoto Rigion Mr Josua Nghipangelwa, staff of Ministry of health and Social services and the chairperson of Oshikoto Regonal Council Hon Samwel Shivute.
